Missing artwork

Hello again,

I'm missing artwork for almost all my recorded TV programs.  It has been gradually disappearing over the last several days, and as of today, most of the artwork is gone.  I noticed a new version of NextPVR was available, so I updated to Version: 5.2.4.220103.  I also checked the boxes for tvmaze and themoviedb artwork thinking that the problem might be with Schedules Direct.  It made no difference

I also generated logs just now.  They're attached.

Artwork that disappears is replaced with "default" artwork showing a night sky with pine trees for all programs.

No artwork is sent to Kodi (OSMC).  All programs there display the channel icon as artwork for the recorded programs.

Programs are available for viewing, it's just that the artwork is missing.

I thought we'd solved all my artwork problems a while back, but they're back!

This is where I get confused.  I don't know if this is a Kodi problem, a NextPVR problem, or a Schedules Direct problem. 

Right now, I can tell you that if I run the web interface of NextPVR and examine the "Recordings" page, almost all of the artwork there is incorrect.  That's after updating to the most recent version of NextPVR and checking tvmaze and themoviedb as artwork sources in addition to Schedules Direct.

Can we fix this problem with the NextPVR web interface (and desktop interface, see below) before we jump to Kodi?

Interestingly, perhaps, I just ran Kodi on the same machine that runs NextPVR and all the artwork there seems correct.  I suspect this is a caching issue.  But when I run OSMC on a networked computer, it's almost all wrong.  The same is true if I run the desktop NextPVR application.

You're the expert, not I.  If you want me to furnish information about Kodi, I will.  I'm just trying to be clear and careful as I describe the issue I'm experiencing, hoping that it helps diagnose the problem I'm having.

You didn't answer my question, that will provide the key missing information For Kodi I was just saying when you want to go there I will need the Kodi debug logs.

Ok thanks I actually just need the directory listing not all the files. You have a big zip file in there you can get rid of you probably did this before for sub.

One issue I see happening is when the SD art download fails sub appears to not be sending back the existing "good" art, he is sending the placeholder. This is consistent with the 404 in OSMC giving you the channel icon.

A bigger issue is a bunch of empty catalog files are being created and there is no log indicting why there are errors. There could be something weird from the Jellyfin requests (you didn't mention that) since Emby and Jellyfin can spam NextPVR and you are doing a comskip at the same time but I think it could also be an SD error.

I think you can start by deleting all the 71 byte catalog.xml files you have.

This is consistent with my experience that my "good" art is slowly disappearing.  I assume sub will have a look at this when he gets a chance.  We've interacted on the artwork stuff a couple months ago, up to about 2 weeks ago, more or less, it has been working just fine.  Something has happened relatively recently, I suspect.

This is beyond my understanding.  I don't know what Jellyfin and Emby are, but I do know I'm using comskip (and liking it very much).  Are you saying I need to stop using comskip?

Yeah, I noticed that something different has been happening with that.  I have no idea what's going on with that.  It almost looks like Kodi is behaving differently for it to, almost like you fixed one of the problems you noted before.

If it were just up to me, I'd probably stop recording that show, but it's a favorite of my wife's, so there's that...

With the current addon Kodi is requesting the proper art but I can't understand the 404 it returns for the poster and landscape threads. That is a valid show id Equalizer_03511596 for The Equalizer https://tvlistings.zap2it.com/overview.h...aid=gapzap and even then you do have a poster for it.

I think you can start by deleting all the 71 byte catalog.xml files you have.

OK.  I just deleted all catalog-xml files that were 1 KB.  There are a bunch of these files that are slightly bigger, too, but I left them be.  After doing this deletion, I went back to the web interface and opened the "Recordings" page.  All the artwork was there except that for four shows:  Alfred Hitchcock Presents (there is another Alfred Hitchcock Presents that has correct artwork), Big Sky, Cheyenne, and Frankie Drake mysteries.

Should I delete some more of the catalog-xml files and see what happens?
