Hi,

Just updated to 7.0.5.260307 and the descriptions are much cleaner with no display errors so far however there was sighning/subtitle tags on the end of the description which isn't there now. Is this expected?

I guess a personal choice for a clean interface but also there was logic introduced to detect duplicates of shows based on the description and this was interfering
In the guide data I have seen it wasn't even consistent across all channels so you can't always depend on it getting data from different source

Also the guide data may not represent the stream that gets recorded and when DVB-S and DVB-T are merged.  Certainly the best way is to tell what is in a stream is to use the NextPVR Info screen during playback but I suspect even if it isn't there you will toggle audio or video subtitles on an off anyway and it doesn't affect the default playback mode.

That all being said no doubt it could be returned if the general feels of the UK viewer is to bring it back or make it a config.xml setting.  Do you use this fro making a recording decision?  It is not part of the recurring recording logic.

I'd like it back (or at least the facility to turn it back on) I often use these 3
Subtitling – S
Signing – SL
Audio description – AD
for deciding which version of a show/episode to record, often there are 2 versions broadcast, one with SL and one without.

So you don't merge your channels. Are they often different for the same show?

I have dual tuners but only one source, Freeview and I use the Freeview OTA epg, no iptv channels.
There's quite a few shows that are broadcast in 2 versions at different times e.g. Hannah Fry AI Confidential espisodes are repeated with a SL version. If you look at the NPVR guide now there's no way of telling which version is which. Whereas before the signed version would show [SL] in the description.

So you keep channels separate and can live with duplicated recordings than no problem reverting the change. We can't make everything a setting in the config.xml

Yes, same situation as jimil, a show is often shown twice, with and without signing. Or a show can just be randomly repeated and it may or may not be the signed version. I schedule recordings manually and use it to avoid the signed version, it's always been accurate as far as I can remember. It helps both those looking for the signed version and those who aren't.

It totally makes sense for [SL] so what about the others. It even is a valid duplicate. What about the others?
