sub - I'll send you the recording via a PM.
To reproduce the issues with the recording, start play, skip forward 5 times (30 second increments). Exit the recording, then resume. (I don't think the skipping has to be this exact as it's easy to reproduce)
Issues:
1. Location of playback on the progress bar doesn't actually match playback of the recording. i.e. I was trying to skip past the first commercial block near the beginning, but when I stop skipping, the playback position is earlier in the recording.
2. When I exit and resume at this point, there is audio with a dark screen.

This with NLite, I've reproduced this on a Windows 7 client and using NLite on the server (Windows 10 Pro). NextPVR works fine on the server with the same recording.
I've updated to yesterdays build, but was seeing this with the previous build as well.

If I unwatch the recording in NextPVR, NLite will play the audio/video until I skip/exit again.

DId you also try on other UI clients (Android, Roku, knewc)?

I tried one of my Roku's and that recording works there. I don't have either of my Amazon Fire devices setup with NextPVR yet, so can't try them at the moment. My main clients are shuttle devices (W7 or W10).
I've seen your comments about the Roku and maybe will order a Tivo Stream like you suggested to give it a try... But for now I'm a heavy user of NLite.

I know you are a heavier user of nlite, perhaps one of a very few. The main reason I was asking is me to UI clients in general is let the underlying player do the playback and let UI client do the UI. If the server is sending the correction information then it should be the same on all clients.

In the case I was wondering if you might be seeing the comskip 0 issue that has plagued resume on these clients for a decade

Without the EDL, NLite plays audio, no video...

To me If the symptoms are different then it sounds like a file problem, so I can have a look.

I got the PM and it played fine with uidroid from the Video Library. Unfortunately it seems nlite doesn't send range headers from the Video Library playback so I had to import it as a recording. It does play, skip and resume fine as recording. https://imgur.com/a/CQTJaal Capturing skips via nlite is not like using uidroid but I did move it 5 times and land after the commercial.

I expect it is a decoder issue related to the file and other considerations of your system but maybe sub see more. As I said in general it is pretty hard to find issues with UI clients if the server is doing the right thing.

Good test of NextTool file based importing too so it was worth the time.

I haven't had time to test your file yet, but I have just uploaded a new client.zip. Does it help?

New client doesn't have any video now no matter what I do with either recording. only audio.
