You got me thinking more on this. Actually in my case it's not the remote that's broke it's the IR in the Atv4K, cause I tried it with another original remote and it didn't work either. So we use a virtual remote via WiFi instead of IR. A 3rd party IR remote wouldn't help me. I'd have to replace the Atv4k to resolve this. At least now you know how it works with the iPhone remote. Not sure very many use NextPvr and the iPhone remote. Likely not many. Thanks so much for your time.

Ahhh, so you're using a 3rd party physical remote. Sounds like it operates much like the original glass remote that comes boxed with the Atv4K.

I'm using the Apple TV remote, that came with it. I'm sure this is what most Apple TV users would be using.

I'm sure your very busy, I mentioned this in my initial post, "Using the iPhone remote app or iPhone native remote...", "Not sure if it does this with the original remote as it broke a few months ago." Maybe I'll have to buy one, suggestions?

Ah, right - yes, I didn't catch that in your post. I never even knew you could do that. I occasionally use the iPhone for typing text on my Apple TV. I've never used it as the remote though.

I note the dates on this thread are back in 2020 so I guess it was hard to progress the performance of the apple remote as its still very twitchy.

That I could put up with but the really naggy thing is that somehow the beep each time a press or stroke is acknowledged by my Apple TV 4K box gets into a repetitive uncontrollable rapid train of beeping occasionally this will stop by itself but mostly it will only cease if I mains power the apple TV box down and back up from cold. Power off button on the Siri Apple remote only seems to put apple TV in standby (obviously) and the beeping resumes as soon as it is turned back on with the remote and NextPVR app reselected. It's not the NextTV server as I powered that down first to see if that would stop it but the beep train kept on runnin'

In Settings, Video and Audio do you have Navigation Clicks enabled or are you using Wireless Audio Sync?

I often have the same issue as "markn62" in version 3.2. I need to be extremely carfull with the Apple Remote (tried both the black and the latest silver) when navigating in the TV Guide, or the cursor will run away uncontrolled, causing an fast beep-beep-sound. Only way to stop the sound in the app is to restart the AppleTV. Restart can be done in System, no need to power cycle. This issue is sooo frustrating...

Problem seems to be solved in 3.5. I'm not able to reproduce the issue with the cursor running away uncontrolled anymore. Thanks!

Very nice and I also found an option in the AppleTV to reduce remote trackpad sensitivity. The jump forward by 1 minute with apple remote is greatly appreciated by the household.

I’m using server v5.2.6 & tvos app v3.5b25. The built in remote works fine but the tvos app only has a menu with no content in any menu items chosen.

Check your channel group is set to ‘All Channels’ (it can lead to a couple of empty screens).
