Migrate linux to linux

Looking for advice to move all past recordings and scheduling rules from one Ubuntu Linux host to another Ubuntu Linux host.

Current back end:
Host IP ends with 67:8866
Running: Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS x86_64
NextPVR: Version: 5.2.3.211114
Live TV and recordings go to: /data1/nextpvr_recordings
user_agent: Kodi/18.9 (X11; Linux armv7l) LibreELEC/9.2 App_Bitness/32 Version/18.9-(18.9.0)-Git:leia_pi4_18.9-Leia

New host will end with .83 same port
Running: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS
NextPVR: Version: 5.2.6.220206
Proposed recordings go to: /pvr_recordings
Same user agent

I see a lot of Windows -> Linux threads, but am looking for help migrating from one Linux box to another.

The instructions would be pretty much the same for the basic XML files that NextPVR makes.

Is it pretty much settings/general/export, modify paths, copy recording file tree to new host directory, upload updated xml file on new host?

For Recordings Settings->General Export and Import work that way yes. I have no idea if sub imports recurring-backup.xml or not. I have been luck and never used these features, I have used the same database since 2011 migrating from Vista to Debian 3 years ago.

NextTool can also import recordings directly if you need it.

It is multi-platform, I don't know if that is the current version, and I have been too lazy to put it on the wiki.

Install, replace linux-x64 with your flavour

cd /var/opt/nextpvr
unzip downloaded zip
ln -s runtimes/linux-x64/native/libe_sqlite3.so

This import recordings, you can run it multiple times

sudo -u nextpvr /opt/system/dotnet/dotnet NextTool --import /pvr_recordings

It works best if you used the NextPVR option to create separate metadata xml files. It probably could read from a separate npvr.db3 if you have it available, I just never enabled that option for this purpose.
