You need to post the zip file NextPVR gives you.

Your device definitely doesn't support AC3, the last log line shows first if you have AC3 5.1 support and second if you have 2.0 support

Code:
2022-02-26 09:26:57.084    [DEBUG][16]    parameters:
2022-02-26 09:26:57.084    [DEBUG][16]       method: system.log
2022-02-26 09:26:57.084    [DEBUG][16]       msg: Audio:false:false

For Live TV yes you are transcoding, this is a Roku setting, Direct Play must be off. This means you need to transcode your recordings.

Code:
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]    parameters:
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       method: channel.transcode.initiate
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       profile: Default
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       channel_id: 7157
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       sid: 5cf16937521f40de834c1e6f5e08d30e
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       format: json
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       client_ip: 192.168.111.49
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       user_agent: Roku/DVP-10.5 (10.5.0.4208-17)
2022-02-26 10:03:12.810    [DEBUG][83]       host_callback: ...
2022-02-26 10:03:12.812    [DEBUG][83]    InitiateTranscode

Thanks so much for the suggestion, Martin. I was able to get it to work by playing with different combinations of audio settings on my Roku

Basically,

I selected "Auto (DD)" for  "Audio Mode" and "Dolby" for "Digital output format"

Great, it's good that your system supports audio pass trough, it makes Roku a much better player.

If you watch a lot of recordings you should still consider remuxing recordings to mp4, the Roku really is not a good mpeg-ts streamer.

Linux Mint Host OS
Hauppauge CX23887/8 WinTV-quadHD (DVB-T/T2/C)

My Roku's are working with recorded shows and OTA Shows:
Roku Streaming Stick 3600X
Roku Streaming Stick 3810X Streaming Stick+

At first I had no audio from recordings but I tweaked my ffmpeg line in my PostProcessing.sh and was able to get it to recode audio properly, now I get audio and video from all recordings. I used the information posted in the transcoding thread.

Web interface, Android TV and KODI Plugin are all working as well, FYI.

Thanks for the update. Live TV should also work if you disable Direct Play in settings.

Right, now that I think about it I disable Direct Play when the Roku h/w tells me that it doesn't support AC3.

I did more testing...

After about 10 minutes the OTA Live TV begins to skip around. I think I may need to change a NextPVR Server setting or fiddle with the Direct Play.
I've got the box ticked to avoid transcoding where possible in NextPVR Server.

When I select the TV Guide, then select a channel to watch it shows "Receiving Data" and the cursor bounces around on the menu until the signal starts to play. It's just visually annoying and does not seem to affect the operation.
