NextPVR on Linux Set Top Box?

Would it be possible to get the NextPVR (backend only I guess) running on a Linux set-top-box?

I have a Gigablue Quad UHD which offers 8 (full band capture) satellite tuners. I put in it a 5Tb 2.5 inch HDD and it appears to be beast of a recording engine thats silent and draws minimal amounts of power. 

I can't get on with the user interface (I've tried OpenVIX and OpenATV but a lot of how it operates is baked into Enigma2) but in hardware terms it makes my PC based backend seem like an expensive power hungry dinosaur.

I tried manually downloading the docker engine as a prelude to the npvr ARM docker (the Gigablue uses opkg), but invoking dockerd I get a segfault. I've very little experience with linux so my experimentation ends there.

There is no opkg install for NextPVR if that is what you are looking for. I suspect you'd have to get Docker running on your own and then see if it works and then figure out how to pass through the tuner devices or find out if the tuner exports m3u playlists and an EPG.

NextPVR can run on small cheap linux devices though do you don't have to use a power hungry dinosaur.

I'd probably just use Kodi with pvr.vuplus which I think supports Enigma2 devices as my client.
