On screen Channel visible when typing with remote?

Hi all,

Is it by design that when I'm tying in a channel (ie 422) that I don't see anything? I'm wondering if you just have to guess or hope it's right.

I ask because when I type in a channel in gbpvr on my computer I can see the channel info an the channel number coming up on a lower screen banner while I type it in. I have zero channel number info display in the MVP.

yes, it is by design.

The MVP performs very poorly when the OSD graphics are shown over playing video. Because of this, GB-PVR tries to show as little information as possible on the MVP. You can get these numbers to appear by turning off the 'force minimal OSD on MVP' setting, but many things will be much slower (changing channel, skipping etc).
