New to NextPVR, got it setup with channels and EPG etc, is recording and playing happily.

But couple of things...

1) I get prompted for username and password when browsing to my install - so http://server:8866  - I enter username and password, I get taken to a blank page. The URL shows http://server:8866/login.htmlxxxxxxxxxxxxxx   (xxxxx= random numbers etc with "salt" in there.) I have to remove everything back to the login.html for it to show me anything.

2) Can I set it up so no password is required for users within the LAN ? So my wife can use it from the PC elsewhere in the house without having to log in each time.

Thanks! Smile

Make sure JavaScript is enabled and you click the save password box the first login. Personaly I do wish that the username and password were optional. I figure most people use the defaults so what's the point?

Also consider a direct play client these typically don't have the same restrictions.

As Martin said - it may be because you have javascript or cookies disabled. Once you get that sorted, just tick the 'remember me' checkbox on the login page, and you'll never have to see the login page again on that machine.
