If shows are removed from outside of NextPVR via the operating system, is there a way to tell NextPVR to do a refresh of the available recordings?

For example in Plex there is the "Scan Library Files" menu item.

In ChannelsDVR you can hit a specific URL and cause it to remove any shows that were deleted.

I have a utility that scans and library files and imports them as NextPVR recordings. It won't help with files you actually remove via the operating system though.

Yep. That sounds like the opposite direction.

I'm taking recordings from NextPVR, running them through TS Doctor, if they look good enough I drop them into a folder for Plex, and then delete them from NextPVR.  However NextPVR is still showing half a dozen recordings even though the recording folder is now empty.

Usually it'll auto detect and remove recordings that have been deleted outside of NextPVR. (unless you've set <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> to false in config.xml)

When you're logged into the web app, you can also view http://localhost:8866/service?method=sys...ve.missing to have it check and delete any missing recordings.

Sorry I misread, when I read NextPVR I think of the exe which is more dynamic then the web server.

Sub, how will Kodi know about these changes? When does the web server generate an updated recording list without that call?

I know it's a fairly old thread, but when executing the service call, don't see recordings being removed? The reply from the service call is :

Code:
<rsp stat="ok"> </rsp>

That's an API response, check the logs they might show actual actions.

Yeah, weird. Am seeing all kinds of requests to retrieve the art of recordings no longer there. What's a good starting point in the debug messages to look for? Happy to search through the logs. Also, is there a way to empty out the logs before i do search through it, kinda to limit the amount of logs to go through?

Run the command and posting the zipped logs is easier.
