can't get to localhost

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

I have been annoyed with it, but in general, the program has been working fine in the background, and I could access my files without difficulty.


Going to Localhost, however, didn't always work right. It would often say Cannot connect to Localhost. After some fiddling with things, it would usually take me to the login screen, and all would be fine after that.

Then today, EPG doesn't seem to have been downloaded, and I couldn't ever get to the login screen of Localhost.

I've done some searching here, and I found a suggestion to delete config.xml and npvr.db3. I did, and then I restarted my computer.

It didn't seem to help. Then suddenly the login screen appeared. But alas! all it says now is Login Failed. What happened? What do I need to do? I can't find a place to change password or anything of the sort, assuming that's even the issue.

Please advise.

I'm sorry. That was years ago, so I'm not sure how to answer that. I think I simply followed the directions. But I'm not a tech expert; just know enough to get me into trouble but not out of it.

That goes to the login page, but it says "Login Failed." It's as if it forgot my username and/or password.

Set the following in your config.xml to set the login back to admin/password.

If this doesn't work, zip up the C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\logs directory and post it.
