I got it to find some channels using the 3rd method with my ip, but what would I do if the ip changes as it can change if my entire system resets?

There is no guide, not sure how to get one as I never used this before.

I can try it more later, football day, got to start getting ready.

Does it play Live TV in the Web client? That is the big question now.

The extra doesn't store the IP it stores the device id and there is an ini file that manages the translation. I do have some logic to retrieve a new IP that if the connection fails. Did you try install scan? I didn't connect that logic to UDP yet but if it works I will.

For guide data your best bet is to subscribe to Schedules Direct. https://www.schedulesdirect.org/ There is a free 7 day trial The install logic would have automapped your channels and updated the guide if you set your zipcode and and add the OTA lineup.

Yes I was just posting in the Tablo forums. I need to fool with the NextPVR more too, it would save to the wrong drive.

Windows 11 Pro using the Edge browser.

Great, NextPVR saves where you tell it to save of course.

Does the HDMI model allow video configuration for things like AAC and AC3 like the DVR? The web client doesn't do AC3 like other NextPVR clients but in AAC mode, it should play without transcoding.

Did you try the install scan?

The only thing I can see is it says this:  "For streaming video to some types of clients, such as this web browser based client, the application needs to transcode the video to a format that can be played by that client."

Not really anything to change that I can see, video size, CPU or Intel for the video encoder, it is set on cpu.

Here are the specs for channel 10 in my area, one of the main ones. Windows 11 Pro, 2022 released Intel i7, 40gb DDR4 ram if any of that matters. Also Edge browser that comes with Windows 11 Pro.

Thanks that shows what I needed to know. It looks like the NextPVR web server is doing transcoding and your device is streaming raw mpeg2/ac-3 and not transcoded like the DVR. It is not browser friendly (same as the Silicon Dust HDHR) so it needs a beefier server for web playback and browser recording playback is not optimum

With a direct play NextPVR client (there are many) these would not be issues.

Thanks for all your help testing this.

Yeah that is weird, I was trying avoid sending to all networks, but the logic must be off or your VPN is confusing things.  Could you try install scan with the attached when you have a chance.

Thanks,

Martin
