I tried it with and without the VPN and got the same. I use Bitdefender Total Security with VPN on this, but the VPN is easy to turn on and off when needed. Only mentioning it in case that helps.

Thanks, without an HDMI device to confirm, it looks like you device doesn't have UDP discovery so you'd have to have manually change the IP in an ini file, which isn't a great solution. Can you get to it using http://my.tablotv.com

I could port scan 8885 on the subnet but that would be a bit of a nuisance.

No that does not find it, the Tablo app on the iPhone can't find it and some other things.

The only way I have been able to get things like Ripper, Tools and your program, was when I enter the ip somewhere.

OK thanks. To answer your earlier question the only solution to a new IP would be to edit the ini file so it would not be completely safe.

Another question does http://tabloIP:8885/server/guide/status give you a useful reply and if so does it show a limit?

Hey, I hope this was enough to help as I had a computer problem, not due to this, and reset back to before I had installed this.

So I lost the setup and everything. I can always reinstall if needed, but don't watch on the computer usually as I have a TV there too.

Thanks for offering you need to substitute the IP of your device where I typed tabloIP eg http://192.168.1.3:8885/server/guide/status The purpose of this is seeing if I can get some guide data.

You actually don't need to watch NextPVR on the server, there are clients for many platforms that access the server.
