Yes that is a know issue for the few people still running v4 and v5.  You can also manually enter the IP and port in settings (long OK).

I'm using PVRLive on my Nvidia Shield - it integrates into Live Channels and lets you schedule recordings from the EPG.  
I do most of my work with NextPVR on my PC, I just have PVRLive for those times when I'm watching TV and something comes up that I want to record and can't be bothered going to the office to set up.
I think PVRLive could connect with NVPR in the past but licensing issues pushed them apart.

Right they were charging to use NextPVR. From Android you have 3 other choices to get NextPVR (Kodi, uidroid and sub's Android client) I figured a fourth client was not necessary especially as Google as basically dropped Live Channels.

I just tried to search the Play Store for uidroid but nothing came up. Can someone please provide me with a pointer to the app?
I've just updated my apps on my Shield and now a get a message on startup "Live Channels is Deprecated 31 July 2022".
I take it that this means that they will no longer be supporting the app and we can keep using it until future operating system / TV broadcast updates break it.
I'm a bit disappointed that Goggle have dropped it.  It's the most used app on my Shield.
