Tuner not detected

Thanks for any support with this excellent software. Trying to keep this brief:

Background:
- Moved to new machine
- Win 10 Pro, fresh install fully updated
- New Hauppage DVB-T/2 dual USB tuner, working fully in WinTV
- Latest version of NextPVR Server (at least newly downloaded a couple of days ago!)

Probem:
- The Devices tab of the settings interface of NextPVR doesn't detect the tuners.

Already tried having looked through the forums:
- Manual update of drivers
- Disable firewall
- Different USB tuner (an old Hauppage) - also not detected, known to work with NextPVR on my old Win7 system.
- reboot
- restart NextPVR service.

What should I do next?  Thanks in advance!

Start with the zipped logs and include the results from this utility https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/FilterCheck just in case it is differrent.

I assume you didn't copy the database and config over, that could be an issue.

I couldn't get the filter check utility to run - a missing VCRuntime error.

Nothing migrated from previous system (yet) - this is a fresh install.

Did you run FilterCheck from the NextpVR program directory?

It seems your install is bad though

2023-02-09 09:22:27.304 [ERROR][1] System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Unmanaged.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.

I wonder if you are missing some standard Visual C Runtimes?

In case it helps someone in the future I've just found a pre-requisites page I hadn't spotted before - http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...requisites

I'll come back here when I've had chance to make sure all of these are on my system.  It was a very barebones OEM install (no graphics drivers or chipset drivers!) so this could well be the root of the problem.

Is it worth uninstalling NextPVR and starting again once I've done with the pre-reqs?

In regards to these pre-reqs:

- Microsoft .NET Runtime v4.0.
- DirectX 9.0c runtimes.
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Runtimes.

Do these mean I have to have these exact versions or are they 'at least' requirements? Eg I have DirectX 12; is that OK? Should I just grab the latest .NET 4.8?

You will need graphic drivers and media decoders for NextPVR.exe (those prerequisites are mostly obsolete now) if you plan on using it.

You will need to restart the server but everything should be installed

I missed your response, again those are for the old version, NextPVR installs the dotnet pieces you need, but you will need newer than the 2008 runtime for sure. Have a look and grab the version you need here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/wi...-vc-redist

I've installed the latest VC Redistributable (2015-2022) and also the 2008 version (maybe shouldn't have done that?)

I'm assuming NextPVR got all the bits of dotnet it needed based on your last post.

I've got DirectX 12

I've got graphics drivers.

I've rebooted.

Filtercheck (copied to the NextPVR directory in program files) is still giving me the vcruntime140.dll error.

Tuners still not detected :-(

Any further ideas appreciated!
