both
I have 2 ceton cards. I have 2 machines windows = infinitv4 running off cetonproxy piped to plex ubuntu server = infinitv6 running off opendct trying to tie it into nextpvr then hoping nprvProxy to plex cetonproxy runs on linux via wine but it doesnt work so this seems to be my most viable option to pipe ceton to plex

OK I will need to refresh my memory. Not to keen getting this going just so you can feed Plex though.
Martin
I understand. Sorry to bother you. I will keep at it. I know Im close. I just have 2 issues to sort. I feel like I passed the biggest hurdles already. I need to fix the opendct.sh file so nextpvr works then try to figure out why the lineup.json is having problems in npvrProxy importing to plex.
I didn't realize nextpvr was available like plex is via apple and google stores. I am going to see if I can run both. I am not sure if nextpvr can handle my library and naming conventions. I will just have to see how much of my stuff I can use it for. If it all syncs up my users will have the option of what frontend they prefer.

I am still happy to help, just didn't want to to the work and find out it does work for you in Plex. This thread is no doubt a mess and there aren't a lot of users. If things work you can probably stop using cetonproxy.
Anyway, where are you in running opendct.sh from command line? I assume you have patched the server side with the java file that I provided. Martin
yes its patched and opendct.py seems to function ok. It produces ts and mpg files and plays video streaming with ffplay on all tuners.
The extras show up in nextpvr and I created an xml for the channel lineup it reads from that allows the tuners to be added in nextpvr but streams fail from livetv. when I test different options on opendct.sh best I can get it to do manually is produce a 1mg file so I think this is the problem. This is what produces those results python3 /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/opendct.py START "$2" $1 "$3"> python3 /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/opendct.py GET_SIZE "$2" python3 /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/opendct.py STOP "$2"

Attachments need to be zipped and under 2MB if you tried that. NextPVR must use .ts format.

sudo python3 opendct.py "START" "DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1" 1003 | ffplay -i pipe: -v panic
this plays channels fine

I thought you were providing logs from NextPVR and opendct so I would have something to look at.
