After updating to v6.1.2.230502 yesterday, the PC now goes to away mode after a TV channel as been watched and will not sleep until the NPVR service has been restarted.

I have just re-run the installer with the service stopped (just in case) rebooted and cleared the logs,

I then watched BBCONE HD for about 5 minutes via Kodi Nexus nightly update from last Saturday, stopped and went back to the main menu for about a minute, then pressed the sleep button on the MCE remote.
PC screen went blank and did not go to sleep.
Pressed the sleep button again to come out of away mode and collected the logs. (So should be a nice clean set!)

The PC has been sleeping as expected up until 26 hours ago

Similar problem here.

Wanted to restart my PC -> Message NextPVR is recording -> but no recording active. So standby is disabled from NPVR, because it sends the message a recording ist running, but thats wrong.

Lao Pan your logs shows

2023-05-03 06:02:01.306 [DEBUG][9] No longer active

which should mean NextPVR is not keeping the PC awake. Do you get a message from Windows?

Escape7 your message is from ntray and that message comes up on shutdown and won't go away on it's own even when a recording or TV stops when the recording service is shutdown. I thought a forced restart would work but it maybe not.

Martin

If using sleep PC just goes to Away Mode - Blank Screen, but all the lights on.
Last night I tried a reboot from the desktop (Kodi exited) and got a windows message that NPVR was keeping the computer awake, with a restart anyway button.

I think the pc woke and went back to sleep for the epg update no problem.

At work at the moment so further tests will have to wait till I get home.

Seeing the same issue here where system restart is prevented.
I created a batch file to work around it for now:
@echo off
C:\Windows\System32\net.exe STOP "NextPVR Service"
shutdown /r /t 3

@artmetz this thread is labelled sleep but you are also shuting you service down. It sounds like a shutdown problem to me. If so disabling the tray app will work too.

Can you let me know if this updated NPVRTray.exe helps?

I'm afraid not - new logs attached.

Just before you posted the new tray exe I was trying without it running and was still getting the pc refusing to sleep.

Is it failing to sleep on its own or when you tell Windows to sleep?
