In config.xml, I found the followings:

<!-- Aspect Ratio settings -->
<AspectRatio0>0,0,1,1</AspectRatio0>
<AspectRatio1>0,-0.125,1,1.125</AspectRatio1>
<AspectRatio2>0,0.125,1,0.875</AspectRatio2>
<AspectRatio3>0.08,0,0.92,1</AspectRatio3>
<AspectRatio4>-0.05,-0.01,1.04,1</AspectRatio4>
<AspectRatio5>-0.05,-0.089,1.04,1.089</AspectRatio5>
<AspectRatio6>-0.05,-0.17,1.04,1.17</AspectRatio6>
<AspectRatio7>0.08,0,0.92,1</AspectRatio7>

What does these settings mean?

Is it related to the F7 aspect ratio change?

I can get 16:9 aspect ratio, but it is not stretch to full screen. I'm thinking if these settings can help.

Yes, these are the settings used by F7. Feel free to change them.

They are the <AspectRatio0> <AspectRatio1> etc settings

If the values are 0,0,1,1, then the fullscreen will be used. 0,0 is top left, 1,1 is bottom right.

Question tied to this...if you change your original 'zoom' is aspect ratio determined off of this zoom or do these values 'reset' those original zooms?

If they reset them, will it go back to the original one you set if it's not in that list?

Ok. So if I had a DVB stream at 16x9 but wanted it displayed as 4x3 what would be the Aspect Ratio field ? And it always appears like the display is squashed in anything but 16x9... Is there a way to fix that ? More zoom than resize ?

It depends on the aspect ratio of your TV.

<AspectRatio1>0,-0.125,1,1.125</AspectRatio1> will cut the black bars off the top and bottom of a letter boxed 16:9 broadcast, and make it fill the screen. Obviously for this to look correct you'd need to be viewing on a 16:9 screen.

<AspectRatio2>0,0.125,1,0.875</AspectRatio2> will add black bars to the top and bottom of a anamorphic 16:9 video for display letterboxed inside a 4:3 display.

You can do the math and work out any other aspect ratios you need...

I tried with:
<AspectRatio2>-0.125,0,1.125,1</AspectRatio2>
want to cut left and right to fit 16:9 into 4:3 display. It seems F7 key does not work for me.
any idea?

Thanks

Aspect ratio control only works when you're using VMR.
