Using android app outside of local network

Hello everyone,
I would like to say I have been around the block a few times with port forwarding but am having an issue with port forwarding the android app to work outside of my local network.  
The app works find on the local network with local ip:8866.  When I when I try to do the same outside of the local network WAN:8866 it fails.  

I have searched the forum and think I have done everything I have read.  
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, it doesn't let you use the 0000 pin on remote connections.

Technically you don't have to use port forwarding at all, but you do need to change the default username and PIN

I do have a hard time configuring sub's Android app for multiple IPs though maybe try uidroid.

I tried to change the default pin of 0000 to lets say 1234567 then it does not work locally.
Also I tired UIDROID and get a unsupported video message. I am testing on a Samsung phone.

You need to change your local setup PIN to use 1234567 or if you are using the browser you might need to clear the browser cache.

Samsung like most phones have crappy mpeg2video support. uidroid isn't really for a phones anyway, but is shows the API is working which is why I won't you test it.

Ok, I verified the username and password were changed. The pin was changed to 1234 and the browser cache has been cleared. With the pin changed the app does not work locally. I am at a loss for what I am doing wrong.
any suggestions?

Open a private browser session and see if you can connect. It still feels like a cache issue.

Ok, I go incognito and change the pin from 0000 to 1234 I can get the app to work on Wi-Fi but when I go off Wi-Fi to 5g it will not work.
Feel were making headway.
Thoughts?

Did you change the IP to the Internet IP? If so send the logs.

Yes, I changed it in the app with trying with the VPN on and off.
