Playing in the background.

I purchased the player to mainly use for audio. Is there any way it can be set to play in the background when the screen is locked?

For the most part the pretty TV has be pretty much the main focus of the client applications.

Ok cool, could I add it as a feature request? Some people listen to tv in the background as well. 

Or are there any other players for android?

Nothing with timeshifting or pause which really are foreground options.

The fact that NextPVR allows playback of a currently recording show handles time shifting really well.

So any Android client that can connect to NextPVR would be wonderful.

Thanks again Martin, any tips on what would be required to play a recording in progress? Would it just work or would it interrupt the recording?
