I'm not sure when this started because there haven't been many new shows due to the strike, but recordings scheduled through the guide are all failing, while those manually scheduled succeed. The failed recordings display the following message in red:
[Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.]

There are no problems watching and pausing live shows.

Windows 10 Pro

We need the zipped logs after this happens.

I thought I attached them. Here they are again, hopefully.

I don't know where the zip file is going, it seems like it's uploading, but after I hit "post" it's gone.

They need to be zipped.

Otherwise, if the zip file is too big, you could put them on somewhere like onedrive/googledrive/etc, and let use know the download link.

Which of the files is the most important? There are a number with the same name but with ".1", ".2", etc. appended to the name. Even with the compression set to "best" the archive is 2.15mb.

The important log file depends when the problem happened. .1 and .2 are older log messages.

I dumped the logs immediately after forcing the problem to occur. I deleted the ".3" files and it's now under 2m. here they are, hopefully.

The logs show the HDHomerun has two tuners

Normally when there are multiple tuners, recordings are prioritised to one and live TV to the other.

Your first tuner isn't locking a signal therefore failed recordings.

The 2nd tuner does lock a signal therefore works and I'm assuming that's giving you live TV (and possibly manual recordings).

I'm not a HDHomerun expert (others here are more familiar) but I assume this is a box with a single signal input & two internal tuners.

The indication would be either one tuner has failed or it has a problem.

Has the HDHomerun been re-booted since the problem started?

Ray.

Just to add to that, the tuner that doesn't lock also returns an error:

Quote:2023-06-17 23:28:01.106 [INFO][4] Setting locator to BDA_MOD_8VSB
2023-06-17 23:28:01.270 [DEBUG][4] Unexpected error on ATSC put_TunerRequest: 0x8000FFFF
2023-06-17 23:28:01.275 [DEBUG][4] Calling LockChannel()
2023-06-17 23:28:01.448 [DEBUG][4] locked=0, present=0, strength=0, quality=0 (took 172ms to check)

vs

Quote:2023-06-17 17:12:58.147 [INFO][4] Setting locator to BDA_MOD_8VSB
2023-06-17 17:12:58.311 [DEBUG][4] Calling LockChannel()
2023-06-17 17:12:59.767 [DEBUG][4] locked=1, present=1, strength=95, quality=83 (took 1453ms to check)

Hard to know why it's returning that error. Tuner in use by other software? or hardware failure? or some driver issue that could be cleared up by either rebooting Windows? or maybe needing to restart the HDHR?
