Normally with a mouse, to get that popup to appear, you'd double click on an item. It happens quite quickly, but the first click should move the focus to that item in the list, and the second one opens the popup. Is that what you're seeing?
Wait a minute .. I gotta switch over to the HTPC and refresh my memory. I switch back and forth frm both keyboard and mouse use ... depending what I need to do in any application. BTW, I have some some problems with "double clicking" the mouse when needing to do that. The mouse has a programmable center wheel that also can be used as a momentary push button. It's programmed to do my "double clicking" for me. So if I need to "double click" to engage something I push that button. The speed of the two clicks is very fast and is "programmable" I think. Been using it that way now for about 10 years. let me visit the HTPC and try that scenario a few times. It's one of those things that is now "automatic" and is done subconciously .
1. Using mouse. Scroll up and down list with mouse wheel. Then use mouse wheel built in button to select item. When pushing that mouse wheel "in" like a button it will automatically send a fast double click.
2. Using the KB. Use KB directional arrows (up down) to move focus up and down list. At selected item use KB <enter> key.
3. In addition to the two regular mouse left and right buttons I have two buttons on side of mouse for my thumb which is programmed to mimic the left and right Keyboard keys. I can browse and navigate most web sites etc. VERY fast. When scrubbing or seeking to move the playing postion when watching a show (like needng to jump ahead or back while watching a show, those two side buttons are used with my thumb. Those fwd and back buttons are also programmable to different amounts. For example forward jump with mouse and right KB arrows might be programmed to jump forward 3 mnutes and back 30 seconds. With the "old" NextPVR vs 4, and my former home I lived in I had a home theater and had a remote control programmed to do everything I needed with just the remote buttons OR optionally a mouse when using NexPVR. Pretty much the same here now .. but no more remote. Just a programmable mouse and keyboard.
How's that?
