NextPVR not starting or couldn't be loaded Apple TV on Kodi start

Hi

I'm using the Kodi NextPVR Client on Apple TV

Sometimes when Kodi is starting it either won't start NextPVR or it will give a message that NextPVR could not be loaded(?) 

Where it doesn't start I Disable/Enable the Add-on which gets it going again. Logs for this scenario:

Where it could not be loaded it appears to corrupt/delete the settings and disable the Add-on, to resolve I reenter the settings, Save, Quit, Restart, Enable, if I don't Quit/Restart then Kodi will crash. Logs for this scenario:

Which method are you using to load on tvOS? There are issues with TVHeadend and IPTVSimple too.

I side load with Xcode, is that what you mean?

Yes. There is a bug in Kodi impacting all PVR and I have a workaround if you want to test this. I can post some instructions if you'd like.

Ok I sent a test build to Kodi https://jenkins.kodi.tv/blue/organizatio.../artifacts Download the tvos zip, extract the larger dylib file and replace it in Payload folder before zipping it then sign and send to Apple TV.

If that fails to keep settings other than name send the Kodi log. It doesn't have to be a debug log. I don't think it will but I will need to document some more steps if it doesn't.

If you connect to multiple servers you will need to do more.

Not sure I understand the instructions, where is the Payload folder?

What I've tried so far:

I already have a kodi.app that I sign, got this from the .deb using ar -p PATH_TO_DEB data.tar.xz | tar -xf - - Kodi.app

Within the Kodi.app (show package contents) I replaced this file AppData/AppHome/addons/pvr.nextpvr/pvr.nextpvr.20.4.2.dylib with the one you provided

Signed this and pushed up to the Apple TV

Can't say I noticed any differences

When I asked how you loaded it I wasn't sure what method you used and your brief explanation wasn't clear on which method but I picked the wrong method in my explanation. Looks like you figure it out.

Whatever method I still need the log file to see what is going on.

When I go back in to the settings both Name and NextPVR hostname contain the default 127.0.0.1, I change these then it pops up 'Needs to restart' then it seems to work

Go back to settings and Name has 127.0.0.1, hostname is correct

Quit Kodi, restart, same result, NextPVR doesn't start, settings incorrect

Yes I seem thanks. It is an annoying Kodi bug I am trying to hack around, and after my Apple TV updated I can't jailbreak it so it takes forever to load a test library with Xcode. I am close now I think.
