NextPVR not starting or couldn't be loaded Apple TV on Kodi start

Ok the version here https://jenkins.kodi.tv/blue/organizatio.../artifacts works pretty much the only way I could figure out.

For the first time connection, wait for the pick list of IP addresses. Don't bother entering settings. modifying the settings in the Kodi GUI won't necessarily work.

You can change defaults in pvr.nextpvr/resources/instance-settings.xml in the source package before signing or after the fact in instance-settings-#.cache. You can modify the cache file using either File Manager to copy a new on in or downloading and uploading the container with Xcode. To turn on time shift change the 2 to a 4.

If you are connecting to multiple instances you will have to copy a new instance cache file into the instance folder. (2, 3...)

Did a quick test and seems better

First time starting kodi after uploading and nextpvr did not start and I did not get a list of ip addresses. I changed the settings and it seems ok so far

If you didn't get a list, did you resign? Which settings did you change?

Think I did resign, changed Name and NextPVR hostname

Ok so I guess from that you changed instance-settings=#.cache since the name is not part of the xml file. That is the main reason the Kodi has a bug on tvOS. Resigning isn't necessary for changing the cache file, just for installing and sideload the initial file.

I changed Name in the Kodi Settings-NextPVR PVR Client, first entry below ADD-ON CONFIGURATION. Going back in to the settings and Name is now set the same as NextPVR hostname (correct IP address)

After a Kodi crash I can no longer get the Add-on to work. On startup I get Add-on couldn't be loaded and it disables itself, no matter what I try I can't get it re-enabled

I have a new version of Kodi that I think addresses their issue but I have not heard anything from Team Kodi. It is not just a NextPVR issue.

For now you might be able to restart NextPVR by going to the Kodi File Manager Profiles addon_data folder and deleting pvr.nextpvr and reenabling the add-on. Wait for the IP to show up

OK, I've also got build a full version of Kodi that I believe fixes the real issue and can use to stock pvr.nextpvr file You can do things like edit the name and settings like you are supposed, and connect to multiple instances. I was even having problems with advancedsettings.xml. Plus I think pvr.iptvsimple and pvt.hts will also work. If you want to try it now or in the future let me know.
