Hi there,

I am a big formula 1 fan and would like to get NextEnd running to ensure my recordings finish correctly.

I have downloaded the latest release and have tried to follow the install instructions mentioned in the main thread for docker.

In the latest release download I can't see a file called NextEnd.deps.json so when I run the install command I get the error

sed: can't read NextEnd.deps.json: No such file or directory

I am probably missing something silly. Could anyone advise?

Thanks, Mark

First, if you install to the /app folder (the easiest way) then then deps file is not required. I will make the deps file available later.

However it is good that you use Schedules Direct, but I see it won't work with the current ESPN rules, which call it the "Heineken Dutch Grand Prix" which won't match Schedules Direct in North America and the UK. I will have to see what I can do about this.

Edit fixed and it just detected the end of the race after a long red flag.

So what command would install then? Ive added all the files to my config folder.

In the UK most people watch F1 on Sky Sports F1. The title of of a live session/race is "Live: Formula 1". Could that be implemented?

Unzip /app and make the symbolic link from /app (assuming you are running x64)

ln -s runtimes/linux-x64/native/libe_sqlite3.so

Yes I can get the GBR lineups here too and it seems to be working for the Italian Grand Prix next week. I just to need to update the wiki with the new dll.

Thanks Martin, I have run the command. Is there a way I can check the install was successful?

That would be great, I missed the restart today due to the red flagged my recording timing out!! annoying.

If it is installed correctly this should fail graciously from the command line

dotnet /app/NextEnd.dll --eventoid 1234

hmm, not looking good

The command could not be loaded, possibly because:
  * You intended to execute a .NET application:
The application '/app/NextEnd.dll' does not exist.
  * You intended to execute a .NET SDK command:
      No .NET SDKs were found.

Apologies I am getting a bit confused, I have confirmed the DLL and other files are present in the /app directory, assuming that by that it means the docker config location?

The first time I ran the command in bash, there was no response to the command being run and then when I tried the next command you shared I got the error above.

I just ran the command again in console, no bash and now I get this error:
# ln -s runtimes/linux-x64/native/libe_sqlite3.so
ln: failed to create symbolic link './libe_sqlite3.so': File exists

I can't see a file named libe_sqlite3 in the config directory.

any further help appreciated Smile

Thanks, Mark

No the /app directory is not the /config directory. It is where you put NShared.dll in another post.
