Windows NextPVR version problems

Firestick Client
Firestick 4K Max, Fire OS 7.6.5.2, Fire TV Home Version 6470113.1
Firestick Client – Kodi, version 19.5
 
Symptoms: Windows and Android Kodi always display a message that I need NextPvr Client version 5.0.3.  I have upgraded the Windows NextPvr to the latest version.  I have no control over the client Kodi because it installs whatever version of NextPvr that it needs to work.
The latest version of Kodi version 20 will not work, only Version 19.5 of Kodi

When you do the update to v6 make sure there is no NPVR.zip file in the folder with the install program.

Delete the NPVR.zip you might have. The installer will download it for you

NPVRSetup_v5.0.6.20061 seemed to fix two problems, now I can use the latest version of Kodi before I couldn't upgrade past Kodi 19.5.
The most recent upgrade of NPVR kept giving me local machine 8866 errors when I tried to use the web interface. After installing version 5.0.6 the two problems went away.

Are you installing manually downloading NPVR.zip or with NPVRSetup.exe You should be running 6.1.4 right now. There is not even be a file called NPVRSetup_v5.0.6.20061 and 5.0.6 was dated 200614

Other problems are occurring since 5.2.0 is the minimum version for Nexus and Omega so your setup may not be what you think it is.
