Reopening this 3-year old issue since it's likely the same general problem.
The problem with NZ Prime streams has returned. VLC via https://i.mjh.nz/prime.m3u8 (the latest of Matthew's) is fine. But a TLS recorded via NPVR has no sound if played in VLC, and "transcoder exit" happens if I watch live in a browser. Again, the issue is intermittent depending the programme - but mainly failing. I checked the LanguagePreference1 setting, it was 'default'. Stopping NPVR, changing to 'eng' and restarting didn't resolve the problem. New problems deciding which Prime stream? (Many thanks for all your efforts)

A recent post suggested that the server is not accepting the default nextpvr user agent on some channels and a url override was required. Furthermore the initial request is failing so nextpvr sends the request to ffmpeg without a good use agent and that too is failing.
You might need an Extra if that is the case. Zipped logs might help Martin

Thanks for that Martin. What's an "Extra"?
On the run atm so can't provide logs just now; I assume it's repeatable elsewhere from your notes.

Wiki and forum searches are very useful tools before posting. You would even find the post I refer to. https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...ight=extra
The zipped logs are always required. Assumptions are bad especially from a sample size of one and that user only provide a snippet and your problem sound a little bit different as you have video. Your problem is also odd since I don't see why you use vlc with NextPVR to access mjh instead of simply going directly? If you are debugging then use ffplay. Martin

I'd initially found "Extras" within search, but it was an entirely different kind of addon. And I didn't find the post itself until I followed the link. Regarding "why you use vlc with NextPVR to access mjh" - that was purely in response to what sub asked me to to last time around when Prime was giving the same issue, presumably to help sub track down the cause that time around. I don't normally do that at all. Logs are attached. They should show two failures during a show - from localhost and later from a remote client and one success from the remote client during a commercial (all this was live TV, not recording). Before running the tests I updated to the latest NPVR and also rebooted the server.

Since sub has access to the prime.m3u8 best for him to look at this There is some strange stuff happening because first it looks like it did try to play with the internal downloader even though it has (I think) separate audio and video and then it just fails.
The logging is also inconclusive since &seekable=0 instructions for Kodi need to be removed and the referer isn't handled (even it is fudged from the source) 2023-10-26 09:41:51.884 [DEBUG][57] https://i.mjh.nz/.../537.36&seekable=0&referer=%20?.... Martin

Thanks for checking Martin, understood. Hopefully sub will be able to resolve when time permits.

I'm fairly busy with day job stuff today/tomorrow. If you don't hear back by the weekend though, give me a reminder, and I'll check it out.

Transcoded fine etc. Is there a specific show you've been seeing the issue with? I might have to try at that time. |
