I've been having a problem with shows being marked failed in the Recordings menu, but in reality they aren't. It's happened about 4 times during the last couple of weeks.

GBPVR won't let me play them directly, but having My Videos configured to show files in the Recording directory, I can use it to play the file. They play back fine, are complete and no error appears in the recording service log.

Anyone else seeing this, and any ideas?

Thanks,
Tim

Thanks for pointing me the thread Stephan, but it seems like in that thread sub thought the problem was related to the installer restoring an old copy of the database. I don't think that's happening with me.

It's only a few recordings - I think around 4, maybe 6 - and there have been many successful recordings mixed in there. Most are fine. It's just strange that the recording actually succeeds but gets marked as failed. Hoped someone had some ideas.

I had this w/ one version. Changing versions seem to fix it (in that case, I went back a version, and furture versions worked fine, too).

I got around it in the meantime by using the Videos folder in XRecord, so I could keep the same views. I also knew enough about Access to go in and manually change the failed entry to successful.
