That's why I asked for a copy of your database, I think I can help you out, and maybe others, since I know what to look for.

I would modify them in the history (scheduled_recording and recently_deleted) to match what NextPVR does now.

Enclosed is NPVR.db3 from my live system as you requested for you to look at the Unique IDs. Also enclosed is .db3 file from my NPVR test server running v 6.1.6 with the EPG using the new Freesat EPG with my SAT>IP tuner. The last EPG update was several days ago so hopefully it will include the some of the recently deleted recordings with their Unique IDs.

OK you are currently only using sub's OTA logic for one channel BBC ONE WMidHD which is different then I expected. Are you getting any data from the SkyTV FTA everything seems to be using a CRID? I probably need to see the 2 zipped XMLTV files too

I do see in the beta sub uses program_name/CRID as the unique ID but your XMLTV only has the CRID so that is why there are so many mismatches. NextPVR does seem to use the Program_name/CRID so adding the Program name to your history should be straight forward and solve many issues.

It just need to see what channels like 5SELECT are doing. You don't it and some others merge on your test server either so that is compounding the problem with different formats.

I don’t understand how you were going to create the new style Unique ID (Name-ID) from just the old IDs created using EPG Collector in XMLTV format that I have been using for 8-10 years.

My plan is to have double EPG entries for the around 8 channels I record from most. One version uses the old XML EPG and the other channel will use the DVB EPG or the new NextPVR Freesat EPG which should use the same Unique ID in the format “Name-Unique ID” used to avoid duplicate recordings. Two or three times a week I will go through the “Pending” recordings and swap the recordings to the channel using the now standard “Name-Unique ID” format. I did this on a recording last night and after it was deleted it the long version of the ID is in Recently Deleted section of the database to avoid duplicate recordings!

So far I have setup 3 channels to use the DVB Unique ID used here by Freesat and Freeview terrestrial TV. It seems to be working and not had to copy the recording to take place on the new channels using the DVB as I was expecting! If the overnight recordings work will add more channels tomorrow!

All your recordings seem to use just the CRID which means they probably came from FreeSat via XML but you didn't pass me the xml files to confirm. I just update your recordings and recently to Title/CRID format so they eliminate duplicates from the start.
