However I get exactly the same error as the last error message I posted 5:46 pm yesterday! As there are so many npvr.db3 about I deleted all the various renamed ones and extracted your latest one again and got exactly the same error.

On the subject of the missing recordings I had installed a 3TB disk on the test server with a copy of all the recordings on the live server! The live server normally has 2 x 3TB disks with drive D: being manually mirrored to drive E: every few weeks. Not until I later noticed an error on the test server did I realise Window was not seeing the new disk so had to make it D:!

Try this database with a quick hack to change the XML from <type>SAT>IP</type> to  <type>SAT&gt;IP</type> just in case the parser is failing.

Sorry Martin although the test server has earlier been doing a scheduled recording using a SAT>IP tuner in parallel with the main server any attempt to do a Freesat EPG update still crashes immediately.

Just checking I am using the latest NextPVR update 6.1.6.240217.

That was a long shot since NextPVR was able to save the iffy XML.

If you delete the channels from tuner 2-4 with the trash can when you open them does that change anything? That is the only thing I see different from the one you sent that worked.

Sorry for the delay but didnt get the usual notification of your latest message!

I have gone back to your NPVR-Merged.zip file of 12th March which is now out of date but it scanned and populated the channels using the Freesat(UK) EPG setting.

However 7 channels set to DVB/ATSC EPG were not populated even though the frequencies were seen to be scanned. I have enclosed log file for the scan.

Looking back to after 12th March I cannot see any changes were made but by the 13th March DVB EPG was working but not the Freesat EPG!! Today it seems that the first time that the NPVR-Merged.zip database is used the Freesat EPG only is created. Any following scans the Freesat scan fails and the Freeview terrestrial DVB-T only channels are scanned!!

Those logs don't show a Freesat update.

This one you see displayed that it is scanning the Freesat Transponder and the other frequency. Just over half channels are set for Freesat EPG and have EPG and the rest are set to DVB EPG and have no EPG. It didnt scan DVB-T channels but not aware that I disabled that scan.

Did you ever disable dvb-t and delete the contents from tuners 2-4 in the other database just to make sure that wasn't the problem?

There seems to be lots of error is your source stream is that a signal issue at your end? We probably need a full mux of 11778 to see. You can uses sub's TSCapture or this if your ffmpeg is v5/6

Sorry for the delay replying!! I spent some time going back through what was done to see why the SAT>IP tuners initially worked then stopped working on the test server. I was then unfortunately ill for a several days!!

The original problem was that my NextPVR server recognises that I have 4 SAT>IP tuners on the network but has never been able to actually use them! I have a NextPVR test server with a clean install of NextPVR and this is able to use the SAT>IP tuners just like any other tuner! I copied the database from the live server to my test server and the SAT>IP tuners no longer work on the test server!

You modified a copy of my live server database and the test server was able to again fully use the SAT>IP tuners. However a day or two later the SAT>IP tuners stopped working again! I don’t know if one of the later updates caused a problem but I do wonder if the changes you made to the database could have been reset back to the original settings perhaps by a reboot! 

To sort the SAT>IP tuner problem first can I  send you the copy of the latest database for you to modify or you could tell me what changes you made and I will make the changes. Once the tuner has been working reliably for several days on the test server I can then move on to look at the new Freesat EPG on the new NextPVR Beta.

You mentioned a possible problem with frequency 11778 Mhz but I don’t use that transponder for anything!!

From what I can tell there are a few issues in NextPVR when you delete tuners that have separate tables (SAT>IP, HDHR and Extras) since these table entries don't get deleted with the tuner. I am not sure how these are used by NextPVR since full URL's still seem to be in the tuning file. Also I don't think they aren't updated if a new IP is detected. Perhaps you deleted a tuner rather than emptying it with the trash can?

Starting with the 6.1.6 update NextPVR will use 11778 for the Sky EPG listing in addition to the Freeview listings, since not all FTA channels are Freeview.
