Makes sense for a Hawkeye, me I just got caught up in the Caitlin Clark hype but have enjoyed watching the games, it helps when their games don't overlap. Adding support to NextEnd was easy.

For similar reasons I follow Purdue for the men, since Zach Edey is Canadian.

Looks like NextEnd did the job with 5 and 18 minutes needed for those that don't add postpadding.

The bad news is I forgot to turn off power management on one of my new STB so after 4 hours of recording I had to watch like this and listen, just a few seconds later it went blank.

Bummer.

For some reason Nextend didn't monitor the Iowa vs LSU game. It was working for the MLB game earlier in the day.

Didn't miss anything though as I was pretty much watching live. I updated manually at halftime to add 60 min just in case but it wasn't needed.

Did you update the plugin too? If so I can check the logs, and if you want you can test one of the weekend final four games with the command I gave earlier in the thread.

No I didn't catch the "Update 4.2" in your previous post. That's probably why it didn't work.

Thanks for providing some great utilities

I installed NextEnd yesterday to see how it works, as I use NextPVR mostly to time-shift and have had issues on Sundays after sports events. I have the default NextPVR (V6.1.5) & NextEnd (V4.2.0) installation on Windows 10 and added the appropriate script updates.
From todays nrecords.log

Last night NextEnd was blocked from accessing the internet by my Norton Firewall when called from within ParallelProcessing.bat. This is reflected in NextEnd.log and within Norton logs. Norton Firewall, by default, appears to block programs that a not in the standard windows Program Files directories.  I have added it to the Firewall but think it could be mentioned on the Wiki Page and have some other observations about the Wiki Page.

I think there is a typo on NextEnd Wiki Page - look at the double \\

This forum thread has a number of posts with arguments that are not listed on the wiki page, and I realize that they make be from older versions of NextEnd so this way be off track. (Monday, Monitor, URL) which are not on the Wiki Page, so what are the valid arguments for V4.2.0 and does NextEnd work everyday of the week or just Sunday?  From todays Monitor Log:
   Command Line --sunday
   Sunday check
   Nothing to do until Sunday it is Tuesday

Dotnet runtime - Is it still needed? Again not referenced on the Wiki Page.

Thanks @Alan. Next time I update the page I will look at the options that are there there are some that I don't remember.

--monitor is like --sunday but for everyday of the week. There is no --monday option that I can tell.
--uri if you run your own SRE server instance, if for example I decide to shutdown my VPN. For $2.50 a month and no work I don't mind since I use it myself.

You might need the dotnet runtime if you install outside the NextPVR program folder on Windows. I don't have a way to test. If it doesn't work install to the NextPVR program folder.

One other request - when you have the source code open, as the messages referencing Sunday is confusing, like this one from Nextend-Monitor.log:

Basically the monitor program is initiated by the EPG update. Unless you script is really smart it calls it everyday. This message is basically just a check to confirm when it exits why it exits. On Sunday it will not exit at this check, so it will check the schedule for games and push affected recordings.

It is unlikely that there is much impact outside NFL season but say the Final Four game on CBS Sunday afternoon went really long if you record 60 Minutes or the CMT awards they might get adjusted.
