Hello,

Is there a way to tell HaupBlast to send enter after the channel number?  My command is:

HaupBlast.exe {channel}

Are there any switches that will add the Enter?  My IR blaster is configured to send the signal with ENTER as the command name.  Would

HapBlast.exe {channel} ENTER

work?  I've seen other say to configure this in BlastCFG, but that is not in the NextPVR folder.

THanks!

Jason

No but in your last thread I suggested you call a script or batch file and that is where you would do this.

OK I see that reply. I'm not very familiar with batch syntax. I assume the %1 is the passed channel parameter? How would I add the enter command? I can't find the command line switches available for the HaupBlast executable.

Thanks again for your help!

I guess you would need to contact the authors of IRBlast. I know I had to do this recently but I use LIRC.

HaupBlast.exe just passes the channel number to the Hauppauge IR software. It doesn't send individual keys, and has no parameters.

If you're lucky, the Hauppauge BlastCfg.exe, which is used to configure the set top box codes etc, will allow you configure if it sends enter or not. This is what ends up being used when you run HaupBlast.exe

Sorry earlier I referenced IRBlast since that was where you started but I see you switched to HaupBlast.

Out of curiosity what STB are you capturing from? If it is the XiOne or Xi6 for Xfinity, Rogers or Shaw you will need the OK/Enter for sure. I have it working pretty well with LIRC but I do need more keys then just numbers to clear notifications etc.

Hey Martin I'm so glad you posted this! I'm struggling with the Rogers Xi6A (which i believe is the Xfinity Xi6). Rogers forced me to replace my old STBs, so this is a forced transition.

I have two boxes connected to 2 Hauppauge HDPVR2s. For one of the STBs, I'm using IR Server Suite, but I could never get the dual ports on my IR Blaster to work, so I use the builtin IR port on the second HDPVR to control the second box. I found the option the send Enter after channel change in the BlastCFG.exe application, but now I'm struggling to learn the OK button IR command. I have 0-9 working, but for the life of me I cannot get it to learn the OK button. It reports back that it was learned, but it won't control the box. I was looking into WinLIRC earlier today to see if it would help.

Did you get yours to control this type of box? Really appreciate your help.

Yes I have it working well on an HDPVR2 and HDMI network tuner. with the Roger XiOne. It should be the same as you Xi6a since It uses the same codes from an XR15 remote and from a Harmony remote. I do use an External USB tuner from Iguanaworks not the HDPVR IR though.

For LIRC I started with this https://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/comcast/RNG-150 and then using the Harmony remote in Xfinity X1 mode (the XR15 has a very weak IR) I programmed all the codes on the XR15. I can provide that if you need it but the basic file should be fine your needs. I use it for catchup as I showed here though https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid590240

I can't help you setting up the blasters using the HDPVR with those old programs that didn't need to send OK/Enter. As I suggested you probably need to contact the authors of the any programs if you want to support them.

I have never really used WINLIRC but I think it uses the same conf files. I was using firewire tuning with NextPVR so never needed it. Now that I am using HDMI with an HDPVR2 on Linux I can see how WINLIRC works with another HDPVR I have no idea how you can get two blasters working from one port.

So I set up WinLIRC configured it with the conf file I use in Linux using a spare Iguanaworks IR blaster and it sends the numbers and the OK at the end correctly via the tuning script.

However I could not setup the HDPVR to send a custom conf file, it send send not support perhaps it doesn't know the XMP protocol

Thanks again for the guidance! I have a working batch file now that will wake the device, send the channel and then transmit OK and it works perfectly as a standalone command. I couldn't figure out how to do that HaupBast.exe so I am still using IR Server Suite and the IRBlast executable. Now I just need to get that second port working so I can use the other tuner. Just ordered an IR dongle for it and will give it a try.

Thanks to all for the help!
