Stream plays about 10-15 sec, then repeat itself

Hi there,

When playing with the Kodi Omega's NextPVR addon, the stream is playing between 10-15 sec, then goes back behind.

It happens only once at the beginning then after that all is fluid.
Not all streams have this behavior. It seems random.
I'm on LAN, Wifi and internet speed do not seems to be in the equation.

buffering sync issue?
Cache?

Yes this is typical Kodi buffering behaviour and I have seen it too. You didn't specify but I think it is only Live TV so did your try increasing the Live TV buffer settings in the pvr.nextpvr addon (making all channel starts slower). Some streams won't deliver a lot of data quickly enough.

You can also investigate Kodi advancedsettings.xml

Yes you're right, only Live TV is doing that. Is the addon's live buffer setting in GUI ? Did not see that neither in the addon.xml. Will try:

    <buffermode>0</buffermode>

</advancedsettings>

So if I understand, NextPVR Server has its own buffer and the client as its own, in this case Kodi?

It's in the pvr.nextpvr addon settings but you might need to toggle Advanced or Expert mode to see it.

All clients need to have a buffer yes. The server buffer is the timeshift buffer. The source will have a buffer too.

Depends on whether you are timeshifting or not. Timeshifting allows more buffering.

I'm not using time shifting currently.

I was asking if Live TV chunk size is the equivalent of buffering settings. I see no other related buffer setting in the NextPVR Addon.

Try it and see, there is no other pre-buffering in direct play. If NextPVR can't deliver as much as Kodi wants Kodi will pause and buffer

In Streaming options, changed Live TV method from Real Time to Timeshift at value 1.

Takes a very little time to start as expected. Buffering issue seems to be gone.

Even at 0, it works well.
