This is not strictly a NextPVR question but it is NextPVR related.
Currently I have NextPVR v3.82 (yeah a really really old version) running on an also really really old server feeding our NMT's
Because I am now mostly deaf I have the component out sound from the NMT feeding an analogue amplifier that feeds the base station for my wireless volume controlled headphones.
This works really well as the NMT is feeding the TV via hdmi & the volume on the TV doesn't affect the volume on my headphones, this allows the boss to change it as much as she likes without affecting me.
I am currently almost ready to move to v5-v6 NextPVR using a near new Win11 PC as the replacement server & feed the TV's via uidroid & Chrome Cast with Goole TV units (I have this mostly setup & working).
The issue being is how do I get separate sound with modern technology... I have a toslink cable for the sound out from the TV & an optical to analogue adaptor to feed my amplifier which 'should' get my headphones working but what do I need to get (that doesn't cost two arms & a leg) to get sound for the wife that she can change the volume on without affecting the volume for me as well??
I am quite willing to admit I am way behind technology wise on this sort of stuff these days.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
