That's what I did originally and it still had the same result - that's why I opted for the properties menu option to see if it made a difference

Can you open an admin command prompt and run installservice.bat that is in C:\Program Files\NextPVR

If you type

NET SESSION

what do you see?

Into the same administration command prompt window I just get the 'not recognized as an internal or external command etc etc'

That makes me think C:\Windows\System32 has somehow been removed from your path.

Martin, I am grateful for your insight and patience on this issue! That was it, lord knows how that could have happened but I'm glad it came to light now because undoubtedly it would have caused me future issues too. Thanks again for taking the time.
