Is it possible to install Next PVR on Win7?
my sys. doe's meet the hardware requirements.

I’ve attempted a few times to install nextpvr unsuccessfully.
1st error was framework
2nd error was blocking the framework due to Operating sys.
Any advice on installing NextPVR thanks

You might be able to install the backend manually but not the client however the next version uses .netcore 8 so Windows 7 won't be supported by the backend. .netcore 6 is EOL in the fall.

I think windows 7 needed SP1 installed before you could install .NET Framework 4.7.2

We definitely don't test NextPVR on really old operating systems like this though.

Microsoft ended Window 7 support back in 2020.

As sub wrote did you install SP1? I will stand by my statement not to bother. NextPVR is a client and a server (backend). The backend server can run independently so I expect the error is in the installer or the client.

You can unzip the NPVR.zip file manually from here https://nextpvr.com/stable/win64/NPVR.zip then run NextPVRServer.exe to get the DVR service running but you are on your own getting it to run on startup noting that this is the highest version of NextPVR you will be able to run,

We don't even know if you installed SP1. First run NextPVRServer.exe to see if it runs.

If so in your install that folder there is a file called installedservice.bat read it and figure out the parameters and run as admin. You choose a really bad directory to install the application in.

Otherwise you are on your own now so I am signing off.

You have extensions hidden. Why do you think you can really figure this out you need a working installer. This is really my last post on thos thread.
