The tick boxes are purely for selecting a few channels, so you hit the trashcan icon to delete them. They are not enabling/disabling channels.

This feature was needed for scenarios of users getting channels like BBC1 from both satellite and antenna, and needing to be able to treat them as a single channel with two sources, so that either could be used for recordings. Should work just fine for two different IPTV providers too though.
