That would be the conf file I assume but two full mux ts files would be about 200MB each so would need to be sent to external storage like you did before on filetransfer.io

Martindvbv5-zap -l EXTENDED -t 60 -c  ftaepg.conf Sky -o opentv.ts -p

I used the following two commands to zap the two channels on the two muxes in question

dvbv5-zap -l EXTENDED -t 60 -c ftaepg.conf FreesatHome -o freesat.ts -p
dvbv5-zap -l EXTENDED -t 60 -c  ftaepg.conf Sky -o opentv.ts -pdvbv5-zap -l EXTENDED -t 60 -c  ftaepg.conf Sky -o opentv.ts -p

The format of these commands I got from page 3 of this post that you guys supplied.  https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...356&page=3 When i ran it the two files were blank.I had to add the -p switch to the end of each command to force any output. That's why I asked in an earlier post what exactly was the format of these commands. The output is nothing like 200mb per file. I suspect either the format of the dvbv5-zap is incorrect or dvbv5-zap is not interrogating the pcie card correctly. I've attached the two zapped files now.  Could you confirm if the output of these files is usable. If not does the zap command need to be modified to achieve this.

Unfortunately not having dvb-s here makes it impossible to give you the exact command. I also gave you this one to try before too https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid588771 and you said it worked (with a -P not -p) Hopefully that will do it.

Thanks for your patience.

As I suspected the zap command needed to be modified. The attached files are now 250mb each. That sounds more like it.

Let me know if these are what you and Sub are looking for.

For anyone coming across this trying to achieve a full mux zap of those two muxes the following is the correct format for the commands.

dvbv5-zap -l extended -c ftaepg.conf -P -t 60 Sky -o opentv.ts
dvbv5-zap -l extended -c ftaepg.conf -P -t 60 FreesatHome -o freesat.ts

I'll keep this in mind for the next time.

Sky News is fine, it just needed a rescan for changes after the database was created, faking a rescan did the trick.

Thanks again.

Martin do bear in mind the DVBS Sat/IP tuner works fine at obtaining Freesat and Sky OpenTV 7 day epg and populating the respective channels. Using the PCIe DVBS tuner unfortunately doesn’t. Hopefully what is extracted from the two zap files will provide the solution.

In the latest beta I noticed an option for Manual Scan in the drop down menu. Is this option just a work in progress as it doesn’t seem to perform any function.

In v7 all the EPG processing is now in NextPVR core. Previously some logic was in the core and some was in DeviceHost and the logic varied by tuner type and OS platform Having it all in core will simplify things a lot for sub. He didn't just add OpenTV he also added ATSC for Linux

I noted that DeviceHostLinux was broken in that early beta release all formats. Now data should stream back to core and go through the same logic that SAT>IP is using. We can't use the zap files for that testing (neither of us have dvb-s emulators or I would have asked for another mux) end to end but it helps confirm the EPG update is working. I think the OpenTV time was wrong in the beta and I wanted to make sure that was fixed.

I don't know what the manual scan option is, sorry.
