I use EPlusTV in nextpvr. They work well together, but events often are well overstated for triple overtime American football, and events usually end hours before. Can an option for negative post padding be added? I have a lot of empty recording.

Why not just use better guide data? If you use Schedules Direct you can use NextEnd to manage the recording and extend it for overtime.

Edit: I see this is not liinear TV so this is more for scheduling VOD, not sure that negative padding is better then getting them to change the source.

All options are OK. The issue is if the guide data is bad it should be corrected. Say you were recording all episodes for one team and it happened to be OTA that didn't have crappy data then you don't want negative padding on it.

I think it's made like that to account for overtime

I probably shouldn't call it crappy, but for users that don't agree with their logic you can equally argue to them, until the game you are watching gets truncated.

Seems you can just cut the time here and build it yourself https://github.com/m0ngr31/EPlusTV/blob/...er.ts#L184

I am not saying negative post padding is bad it just an issue that all the NextPVR clients have to deal with it and I am not sure that is the case even with negative pre padding.

There could be other uses. Maybe someone wants only the first 15 min of the news etc more options isn't bad. I know I frustrate you though thanks for your help so far

I understand that negative padding can be good and bad, just pointing out that it is not trivial. I am not frustrated, if I hadn't noticed that this wasn't for linearTV where Schedules Direct would have been beter, I wouldn't haven responded and let sub treat it as a wishlist item.

Since they are only adding one hour though I think your original post is wrong so maybe they have other issues, you should have empty shows or long shows so maybe the default is best.
