What would happen if I change file locations and names of the recordings?

All of my recordings are in a specific folder with specific names. If I change the title of all of my recordings and add them to another folder, would they be affected in a certain way? If I do that, would I not be able to play them directly from NextPVR anymore?

Correct, if you modify the filename or location NextPVR won't be able to play them as recordings.

But the file would still be playable without any problems like any other video file, in my other pc apps?

Your changed filename won't impact how applications use the new filename for playback. However applications like Plex, Jellyfin Emby and Kodi which scan libraries might need a rescan after a filename change.
