Hi, I am using NextPVR Version: 6.1.5.231022 on Windows 10 home OS Build 19045.5011, on replaced C: drive with Windows reinstall.
Prior to this rebuild, NextPVR.exe would allow me to schedule on-going recordings of programs broadcast daily (e.g., the 7:00 p.m. news) and the interface would immediately colour that program's timeslot red.  If I scrolled to the next day, the program's timeslot would also be highlighted as scheduled.
Now, none of that appears to work.  I go through the process of scheduling a recording, that program's timeslot does not change colour nor does it for any subsequent day.  Not only does it not indicate a recording is scheduled, it doesn't record.
The only way I have found to schedule a recording is to select "Quick Record", but of course this is just for one broadcast.  
This is really bugging me: NextPVR used to be fine: what went wrong?

Your rebuild was likely faulty. Attach your zipped logs from the first NextPVR web settings page and we can maybe help you out.

You manually deleted several upcoming shows from the recording list so they will not automatically schedule any longer. If you are willing on clearing you history.

The easiest way is explained here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid587962 but it will remove all history even shows you don't want to re-recording.

Is there a case for the app. providing a message back to the user saying why this happens and how to fix?

Although there are occasional support posts like this there is nothing broken and NextPVR is working as designed, some people wouldn't want the prompt. There are many clients the web client, NextPVR.exe, UI clients, Android and Apple apps, Kodi and Jellyfin so it is far from a trivial change. Also it is only visible the first time you schedule, each daily EPG update this is happening too I doubt you'd want to see an email or similar notification everyday.

A potential solution would be to update the wiki to with a section on this, what happens when you delete upcoming recordings and how to deal with conflicts (which also won't get recorded) and you are free to write that if you are interested. Of course few people will read it even if it is there, it probably wouldn't stop the support posts.
