Hi all,
Had my first recording failures for a very long time last evening.  I had five programmes due to record and three of them failed with an error I haven't seen before "The operation timed out".
If anyone can throw any light on what may have caused this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

The logs show one of your tuners stopping after the EPG update and it stopped responding to requests, I can't explained that

What trouble me most is that your two dualHD tuners don't seem to be allowing 4 streams. It's possible the drivers are confused. Have you configured and tested being able to run on 4 frequencies?

You have a minor configuration issue with Schedules Direct too, lots of warning trying to get too much data that isn't available. Maybe lower yours by 3 days. Data that far in the future can be wrong anyway.

"minDate": "2025-04-23",
"maxDate": "2025-05-11",
"requestedDate": "2025-05-14",

Hi Martin, thanks for the swift response.

Are you able to give me some guidance on configuring the tuners to run on four frequencies, I'm not sure where/how to do that.

It might be worth my mentioning that I recorded the very same five programs last Wednesday without any issues.

I will change my SD configuration as you suggest.

I'd start by rebooting just in cast the drivers are messed up and then look on Settings->Channels I'm not sure how DVB-T displays and you might be able to see the different frequencies.

Start recording on 4 different recordings and see what opens (welcome to my world). If you aren't able to start 4 recordings send the zipped logs.

Hi Martin,
I guess I should have thought of the "turn it off and back on" option before posting, thanks for your suggestion to restart the PC, this seems to have fixed everything. I got the frequency info. from the transmitter website and was able to start five concurrent recordings, three channels on frequency one and two channels on frequency two. When I attempted to start a sixth recording on frequency three, NPVR popped up a warning "no tuner available, choose something to cancel".
Thanks again for your insight.

Your logs don't show you EVER using more that the first tuner on each of the device which is why I thought there might be an issue. It might be interesting to see the zipped logs now.

Hi Martin,
Here are the latest logs.
Not sure what you mean when you say "each" device.  I only have one device which has dual tuners.

Classic case of ‘have you tried turning it off and on again?’ saving the day. ?
