I'm having some issues with the Client software (as well as the SKIA errors reported in the other thread).

1) After opening the TV Guide, up/down navigation with keyboard/remote works but left/right does not. Left/Right navigation works in other menu items.
2) Programmes set to record are not highlighted in the TV Guide and do not show when recording however a red bar does appear at the top of the TV guide indicating something is being recorded.
3) Setting some programmes to recurring recording does not result in those programmes being set to record. (This is a new system so does not have a history of previous recordings and Avoid Duplicates is not selected)
e.g. Trying to set "Hope Street" to record weekly on a single day. Entries in the log show:-

Any ideas what's happening?

Is this in nextpvr.exe? Was this F1 to bring up the TV Guide?

Yes this is nextpvr.exe and it was selecting the TV Guide from the main menu using OK on a mce remote.
The same occurs using a keyboard too.

I'm using default Horizontal skin.

Have you edited the skin?

Martin,

I knew you'd ask that  Big Grin

No I haven't and to make sure nothing was messed up I did a re-install of NPVR before reporting this.

During pre-release testing I didn't do much with the EPG in the TV Guide mostly moving up/down so never really tried left/right.
Left/right navigation seems to work OK in the other parts of the menu (e.g. Recordings) just TV guide left/right broken.

Some of the recurring recordings I've got are working but I've currently 3 programmes that don't appear as pending even though they're in the recurring list.

OK give I navigate the guide pretty much every day with UI clients and although I don't use the Horizontal skin I just tired and it navigated ok.

Maybe the NextPVR logs are required for the two unrelated issues.

TVGuide navigation Left & Right work ok for me using NextPVR.exe as does setting up a recording in that the cell for that turns red & so does the timeline.

Jaggy,

Thanks for that info.
This is really weird as left/right works with remote & keyboard in the main menu & Recordings but not in TV Guide. I did think it worked before I installed the latest release but I've just gone back to an older pre-release copy and it doesn't work there too.

I'd not made any changes today other than changing the setting in the config.exe to not delete if file missing. I've double checked it too so can't see that being an issue.
I'll go back to basics and test everything again tomorrow.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Seems to be fine here, with both the default SlideOut and Horizontal skin.

Even though I spent over 30 years working in IT, there are still times it makes me go  Huh Sad Angry Angry Angry !!!

Last night I rebooted the system multiple times without the problem going away and confirmed it wasn't working correctly before giving up and going to bed.

This morning I stopped the NPVR service, renamed the data directory and re-started the service (Creates a new directory, clean database & virgin config file).
Scanned a tuner and selected a few channels.
Checked TV Guide and navigation was working fine.
Updated EPG and checked TV Guide navigation again...still working.

Stopped the service and copied the original config file back into the new directory.
Started the service and checked navigation still working....it was.

Stopped the service and copied the original database back into the new directory.
Started the service and tested navigation.

WTF. Navigation still working and not only that, the pending recordings are all highlighted & the recurring ones that were missing yesterday have now appeared as pending.

In otherwards, it's all magically working.

I have no explanation as I can't see that anything I did would have "fixed" anything.

I especially get frustrated wasting people's time here.

Thanks guys for your support.
