How to Import Recordings from Prior Install Without any Export Recordings FIle

I had to wipe out NextPVR and reinstall it and was not able to export my recordings. How can I manually add them back into my lists of recordings?

NextTool can do it but I haven't posted the latest version yet. Do you have any copy of your old npvr.db3?

I found NextTool and ran that. It created entries in my recordings list but when I try to play them it says recording not found.

Where is the file that they are imported into so I can look what is wrong?

My drive for recordings is a network drive. I did set the serice to run under my login and set the permissions. New recordings are created there and I can play them back so all that is working.

There is a NextTool.log with the logs. f they don't play I expect it is still permissions but you can upload the zipped logs to confirm

I do not have the old npvr.db3 file. FYI my original problem was that when I went to update Nextpvr from 6 to 7 then I ran an old NPVRsetup.exe from my downloads directory which installed v. 4.x. I then downloaded a fresh npvrsetup.exe and ran it to successfully install v. 7. It was working for a few days then yesterday suddenly it switched to v 4.x even though I did not restart anything. I was trying unsuccessfully to reinstall 7. I tried to uninstall v. 6 and keep my setting and reinstalling but it kept giving some error about deviceHostWindows still running. I eventually ended up wiping out the installed directory and rebooting a few times to get rid of it but did not save any backups

NexrTool can parse some info from the filename. But that wouldn't be why they don't play. Logs will tell us.

V7 and v4 use totally different program and data folders we could have helped you fix it.

Here is a portion of one log. The paths are correct. I can paste the path into file manager and hit enter and video plays in VLC.

I just realized that for recording director I used \\192.168.1.1\Video I will try that.

How do I delete the entries with the wrong drive name?

Yes it works now with that change. I just need to figure out how to delte teh entries with z:\ in them

There is a config.xml setting something about tree missing that can be toggled on the delete them.
