Hey all,

I'm using the HDHR3-4DC in combination with the newest NextPVR in a linux LXC container with Ubuntu on my Proxmox host.

When I'm using the official Android TV app form HDHomerun, the EPG works perfectly fine. However I don't seem to get the EPG imported in NextPVR. I've emptied and reloaded it a couple of times, but it doesnt seem to work. Watching TV works fine.

Do I miss a setting of some sort?

Thanks in advance!

On the Settings->Channels page, is the EPG Source next to each channel listed as DVB EPG? If so, hit the 'update epg' button, let it complete, then post the logs.

The Android APP won't be using OTA. For your container you'd need to make sure that you pass through all rtp ports which probably are being blocked

Alternatively you can configure the HDHRGuide program to grab the SIlicondust guide daily. htps://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=64648

Thanks for the reply!

They are indeed listed as DVB-ATSC EPG. I've pressed update and the logs are in the attachment .

Thanks for your reply!

I have no ports blocked in my LXC and no firewall active. Is it a problem the HDHomeRun is on a different subnet?

You will have to configure your networking so the different subnet are available that isn't a NextPVR issue if you need to make your life so complicated.

The HDHR guide should work with http from the Silicondust server.

Wow sorry... I am not saying NextPVR is faulty, I am just asking for help with my setup...

There is no blockage between the two subnets. NextPVR sees the tuner perfectly fine with mDNS. Watching tv and tuning channels also works fine.

I am just saying I can't help setup your subnets.

NextPVR will  be playing by http not rtp used by the OTA EPG update.

It looks like you don't have hdhomerun_config on your machine. This is required for the OTA EPG with an HDHomeRun device.

Thank you!!
I've installed it and it's scanning now. Will let you know the results!

EDIT:
It works perfectly fine now! Awesome!
