Can't resume after skipping a recording in progress

Version 2.1.14 of UIDroid, latest NPVR (7.0.1.241229)
If I skip 10-15 minutes into a recording in progress, I cannot resume/play from that point. Exit still works.

I didn't include this in the logs, but Resume doesn't work after exit, just get the spinner, but Play does start from the beginning.

Sorry you are hitting the keys too fast after a skip for me to tell what is going on. I need to see what your device reports and not what you see on the OSD.

This time I hit Play, waited 10 seconds, skipped about 9 minutes in, then waited 20-30 seconds, after that I hit the middle button of the ONN remote periodically and all that does is hide or show the OSD.

The NextPVR logging may have changed or uidroid I don't see the media lines for the playback. The logs look like things are working so I will have to check myself.

The OK button is working but NextPVR is toggling play and pause so fast because of the issue you reported off the forum and sub needs to investigate that.

Testing in-progress with the current release I would say some changes at the server have broken how uidroid works so skipping will be totally brain dead. My gut says that NextPVR is no longer accepting ranger header skipping with in-progress "growing" files and I may have to make a major change.

Things were so simple before thumbnails. Now it is a house of cards, and I don't know what to test to keep things working.

On thing I noticed is loading in progress comskip might be causing troubles because the edl file is changing past entries . Also there were times you skipped while comskip is skipping which will cause problems too. I would suggest that using thumbnails to skip makes more sense for in progress recordings.

I also see a stop when you resume near the end point and it is not clear if NextPVR is treating that like a end of file. I would not recommend seeking so close to the live point.

I understand and there is an issue in the in-progress protocol between uidroid and NextPVR which sub needs to look at since thumbnails wouldn't work any better. I was just pointing out that in your logs I saw conflicts when you were skipping manually while comskip was skipping which can't be fixed on in-progress files.

As a bonus thumbnails will work well with football.

I have found one issue where a failed skip causes the resume to fail (which is the same as your logs).  I haven't found the root cause on what causes a skip to fail in the first place on files that works as recordings, assuming your skipping into a commercial is not the only cause.

Some files won't skip even when they finish but that is another issue and if I can't solve it I may need to stop support for uidroid.

Sub has fixed the UI client issue where the pause toggle flips quickly.
