I have had a pretty good experience with this Buzz TV ARQ-100 and will use it for a while to compare it with the AuviPal G9. First it is certainly an old school remote, 140g 40 more than the G9 and almost double the G20.but at the same time it feels pretty sturdy
Pros
- there are more user definable keys than any remote I have tried.
- dedicated play, stop and record keys make for good PVR.
- air mouse off by default
- nice keyboard, but it is missing ctrl keys (I use remote keys on RPi's from tiime to time.
Cons
- many keys are not mapped to standard Android function (probably Buzz TV functions) so to take advantage of them you need to use the clientstore. Some keys run Android functions and can't be mapped or require using the back key if you hit them in error.
- I immediately had to map keys. First the Favs key on my remote (which is Last on the image) became my Back key, I prefer easy clicking with my thumb. I guess left handed users would like the Back on the right side fo that is a possible Pro if you are left handed., I also mapped the Info key to Ctrl-B in video.
- Having page, channel and left/right keys give a lot of flexibility but since I use paging for fast skip a lot other remotes have these keys better placed (even with fewer options).
