Audio out of synch with nextPVR.exe

I didn't see any a/v sync issue here with NextPVR.exe.  I also tried with yauiclient (also in sync) and I got the attached with the P key.  Do you see anything noticeably different when you hit P.

Hi Martin,
now that I switched YAUI client to hardware rendering, audio and video are in synch (there is screen flicker on playback of some recordings though).
The short sample file plays close to perfectly in YAUI client.  I retested in NextPVR.exe: first time, surprisingly it played perfectly, when repeated, the old problems returned.
Below I hope is a screenshot from YAUI client with 'P' key pressed.  The main thing I noticed was my cache is only 1.0 seconds compared to 4.4 for yours.

OK, I've given up on getting NextPVR.exe client working on Windows 10.  Also, the YAUI client frequently crashes and keeps stopping  the NextPVR server. I'm trying Next PVR on Linux Mint and will ask for help under a new topic.

There is no Linux client for Linux, just Kodi so you might as well just use Kodi for Windows.

If yauiclient is crashing the server I expect it is libSkiaSharp at fault

Before you go .. I had a thought you might consider.  I believe you are using a PAL system right?  Consider this:  Could there be "some thing" involving the process of decoding and displaying your video stream that would cause an audio sync problem if that "something" was involving PAL and NTSC ? 

Way back when I was doing some vdeio editing I had an audio sync problem very similar to this problem.  Turned out I was dealing with a technolgy, at it's early beginnings.  Some of the ealrly video editing software was problamatical.  Audio sync problems were common back then. 

Editing an NTSC or PAL video was just okay but if you were editing and converting from PAL to NTSC or the reverse the audio could be out of sync by 5 fpm, fast or slow depending on which way you were converting.  This was because the PAL video had 5 less frames than the NTSC Video every second.   In my case the problem was solved when the software company finally released a working "non-beta" version. <grin>  

I wonder what Sub or Martin think about the possibility of this problem having something to do with the video processes concerning PAL and NTSC and their several differenences that could impact sound and video playback:? 

Is there any setting, etc. that might be related to PAL and NTSC  that might be causing this audio sync problem?

thanks for taking the time to think about this. Yes I'm on a PAL broadcast system in Australia.
The weird thing is that NextPVR used to work OK. Then suddenly, without me changing anything in NextPVR, this out of synch issue appeared (a Windows update?).
BTW, in Linux Mint, I've installed NextPVR, but have encountered another intractable problem: haven't been able to get the tuner 'devices' to work.

how does one discover the version?
The date of the yauiclient.exe file is 12th September 2024.

Hi again Martin,
I've just fully uninstalled NextPVR and reinstalled it (setting up the devices & channels).  The same synch problem occurs.  YAUI client works fine though!  
What is libSkiaSharp?  Can anything be done to fix that isssue?
