Time for upgrade

After a long time its time for a upgrade.
Our old system
2 Hauppauge 2 tuner cards
Silver Hauppauge IR remotes
2 1 tb drives
Win10
Nextpvr 4.1.0

The new system
1 Hauppauge 4 tuner card
2 SSD 1 tb drives
The new Nextpvr Version: 7.0.1.241229
Win10
What is the best way to move the old system to the new

There is no best way since there isn't a support upgrade. You can try to see if this works

- copy your v4 C:\Users\Public\Data folder to v7 C:\Users\Public\NPVR-Data (for icons art etc)

- when you scan your new turner if it give you the option to copy. If the copy is successful see if it tunes if so you are in luck otherwise you need to scan it and merge.
- delete you old h/w from device devices.
- copy all the other tuners.

Keeping recordings takes a bit more work if you change drives. If you use the same folder naming they should just work.
- if you intend to try and copy recording after the first run change this to true in config.xml

Well trying to save the database and data dir did not work.  Was not stable.  So I uninstalled everything and started with just a recording export from V7 on a new install but I am getting this error sometimes now.

Turns out 7.0.2 NextPVR.exe and UI clients aren't stable but that could be something else, like bad metadata for a recording.

So can I get a 7.0.1 version till sub can fix the new one?

No that isn't how sub does it. The stability is in NextPVR.exe doing lot of UI stuff not in recording or scheduling.

This is sad ,first time in 15 years subs program is all but unusable. When it crashes the wife can not get it going till I get home.

That sounds different a client crash should restart with the icon so it must be the server. No logs no problems

I know right now she can only use the remote and the error does not let you hit the green button to start it.
