September seems correct, I guess I am using a newer libmpv.

The libSkiaSharp library creates the images for UI clients. It is the only explanation I can give for the server crashing. Sub will be releasing a new release with an update for it soon. For sure if you change channels it will crash. UI clients are very slow and yauiclient is not mouse friendly it was designed only for a keyboard of remote so be slower than with NextPVR.exe

I am revisiting this issue as I have identified that the problem relates to High Definition broadcasts.
This is despite a clean install of Windows 11, 32 bit LAV decoders, NextPVR Version: 7.0.2.250621.
I also changed the live TV buffer folder to a different (HDD) drive to C: (a SSD where NextPVR.exe is installed)
As before, HD recordings and live HD TV play close to perfectly in the webclient (http://localhost:8866/).  Playback of recordings in VLC is also great.
The NextPVR.exe application copes with playing live TV standard definition broadcasts BUT NOT HD where it has unacceptable synch problems between audio and video.  (I haven't checked SD recordings.)  Interestingly, the live HD TV through NextPVR.exe is initially in synch, but after about 10 seconds starts deteriorating. The next time I try it, there is no inital in-synch start—it's out of synch immediately.

I've attached the NextPVR logfiles.
Tried to attach a System Information system summary as a text file but that doesn't seem to work.  I've just appended the text below.

Hoping somebody can diagnose the problem!

I know earlier asked that you had LAV32 installed and are you absolutely sure you have all your audio decoders set to LAV as shown on @Rich A's screenshot.

Sub did release a patch you should be using for NextPVR.exe and UI clients https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid601879 I think a full update is coming soonish.

Thanks Martin,
yes, I only installed LAV32. I will check if they comply with Rich A's example. Thanks for the note about the patch.
Cheers,

FWIW, I recall reading somewhere that it was best to install both the 32 and 64 bit versions of LAV.

Update:
I swapped those NextPVRUI.dll files with Sub's updates. That didn't help.
Also, after checking other channels, NextPVR.exe is in synch only one channel's SD broadcast. Other SD channels still have poor synch of audio with video.

Since I assume you are using LAV correctly, I think the only thing I suggest is you go back to using yauiclient as we discussed earlier your sample played OK here.

I've had this issue for years and only recently fixed it by installing the latest k-lite codec pack (1905 standard) which includes LAV version 80.0-1 git
set all decode filters to LAV and in the audio LAV settings enable auto A/V sync correction. This is using nextPVR 5.2.6 (220206)

LAV v80 is available on the normal release page. No need for a codec pack. Just follow the link from NextPVR.exe decoder setup
